Spring Wellness Trends

2019 seems to be whisking by, and the wellness world is surely keeping up as it continues to burst at the seams with more and more offerings popping up every day.

It’s no wonder why… Our fast paced, over-stimulated, go-go-go modern lifestyle has left many of us frazzled, fatigued and overwhelmed. We are hungry to regain our equilibrium and feel happy, healthy and WELL again.

So, to ensure you don’t get lost in the frenzy, we’ve selected a few wellness trends of 2019 that may be worth adding to your wellbeing toolbox this year and beyond.

IV DRIPS

Vitamin IV Drips was once an exclusive trend among celeb types, before becoming a hip tool to alleviate hangovers. Today, however, the vitamin drip has made its way mainstream, and people are calling mobile IV drip companies to get their vitamin and mineral fix at home, or taking quick pit stops at drip bars. So, what’s the trick to this trend? Vitamins and minerals are absorbed into the bloodstream much quicker and more fully, intravenously, rather than when ingested orally. The result can be a boost in energy, or if magnesium is added, even a super-relaxed, calming effect. IV drips are also said to help ease muscle aches, aid digestion, and promote glowing skin.

CBD OIL

CBD Oil has hit the market with a bang, with claims that it can help address a plethora of ailments. It’s been said to be the answer to stress, anxiety, pain, inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and many other health issues. This oil, which is made from hemp, is non-addictive, won’t get you high and is legal in all 50 states. It has trickled into health food stores everywhere, and will even be available in CVS pharmacies soon.

NATURE PRESCRIPTIONS

It’s no longer just hippy types that believe nature is healing. Suggesting that a patient spends more time outdoors is becoming a norm in the traditional medical world. General practitioners, psychotherapists and other doctors have begun to see the great outdoors as an antidote to common health concerns, which, they say, are connected to sedentary lifestyles, including being cooped up inside, staring at computer screens.

FITNESS AT HOME

Long gone are the days when home-based fitness looked like the treadmill in your garage, full of laundry hung to dry. In 2019, fitness at home looks like super-sleek, smart technology equipment, with live instruction by popular celebrity-esque teachers. Peloton, with its savvy indoor bikes, is an innovator in this arena, but newer products have hit the market stepping the game up a notch. Mirror, for instance, is a full body mirror setup, donning virtual trainers who provide personalized feedback.

WELLNESS ITSELF

Overall, however, wellness itself is on trend for 2019. It’s cool to take time for self-care, especially during these stressful times. With all the tools out there, just know that there’s something, somewhere available to help you regain or maintain the happiest, healthiest version of yourself.

Cheers to a slowing down and being well for the rest of 2019!
