Do Feel Good Foods products contain gluten? Processed ingredients? Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)?
All our products are 100% gluten-free. Feel Good Foods also takes pride in never using preservatives or artificial ingredients. There is also no added MSG (monosodium glutamate).
Are the ingredients in your products non-GMO? Where are ingredients like meat and fish sourced from?
We believe in a clean label and use non-GMO ingredients, including our canola oil, cornstarch, rice flour, vegetables and proteins to yield delicious, high-quality gluten-free products. However, because the USDA does not have a definition for non-GMO, we cannot label ingredients as non-GMO on product packaging. We proudly source our meats from reliable sources: Our chicken is from Huntsinger Ranch. Our pork is from American Homestead. Our shrimp is from Eastern Fish Company.
Is there a possibility of cross-contamination in your facility?
Feel Good Foods is certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO). Products are manufactured in a facility that also processes wheat, gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, dairy, soy and eggs. However, strict safety measures ensure cross-contamination does not occur. All ingredients and finished products are rigorously tested for gluten using the most sophisticated R5 ELSA method – widely regarded as the best test for the purpose of assessing the presence of gluten in food products – to ensure Feel Good Foods’ strict requirements are met before any product leaves the production facility. Most importantly, Feel Good Foods is dedicated to providing a stress-free, delicious dining experience. All ingredients are listed both on the product packaging and on the website. Please contact us with any questions.
Do you have any vegan products?
Our vegetable dumplings are vegan and all of our products are dairy-free.
Cooking dumplings in the pan: The preparation instructions indicate that I need to use a non-stick pan. Is this safe? What if I don’t have one?
To ensure the intended delicious results, the dumplings must be cooked in a non-stick pan. We’ve tried various options and can confirm that non-stick pans yield the perfect dumpling. And, yes, non-stick pans are safe to use as long as they are treated properly like any product. Because of controversy surrounding the environmental and health effects of PFOA, a chemical used in the fabrication of many non-stick coatings, it is important to protect the nonstick coating by never exposing the skillet to high heat and using safe cleaning measures. Abrasive sponges and steel-wool pads are not recommended, as they can scratch or chip the non-stick surface.
The oil: Can I use any type of oil when preparing the dumplings?
Yes, but we recommend using a neutral-flavored oil.
The sauce: How do I prepare the dumpling sauce?
Let the sauce packet sit at room temperature while preparing the dumplings. To speed thawing, place the sauce packet in a bowl of hot tap water until ready to serve. Be sure to refrigerate any leftover sauce in a sealed container.
What is the date stamped on the box? Is it okay to consume the product past this date?
The date you see on the box IS the best-by date. It is okay to prepare the product after this date at your own discretion; however, the quality of the product prepared after the recommended date may not be up to par.
When I opened up the box, the plastic seal on the container was open, is it safe to eat?
Yes, it is safe. The finished product is kept completely frozen from our production facility all the way to your grocery freezer. The inside of our cartons are lined with a food-grade wax, so as long as the carton was sealed, you shouldn’t worry.
Do I need to keep the products frozen? Should I thaw them before cooking?
All products should go directly into the freezer and should be cooked from frozen. Remove products from the freezer, and cook immediately. Feel Good Foods products were created with ease and convenience in mind, ensuring delicious results can be achieved in just minutes.
There seem to be some cracks in the dumplings. Should I throw them out?
Sometimes cracks naturally occur from freezer storage, but they will seal once cooking begins.
Can Feel Good Foods product packaging be recycled?
Feel Good Foods cartons are made from SBS Board (Solid Bleached Sulfate). The cartons are FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) approved. The paper comes from a forest that is managed using sustainable principles, and cartons are 100% recyclable. Let’s all support the environment and recycle today!
Where to Buy
Where can I find Feel Good Foods products?
Feel Goods Foods products are rolling out in new locations weekly. Please visit our Where To Buy page to find retailers near you. Please note that prices will vary by retailer. Feel Good Foods suggests a retail price of $6.99 for the dumplings and $4.99 for the egg rolls.
I wish your products were sold at my preferred local retailer. Can you help?
Grocery stores tend to bring in new products based on customer demand. If your preferred local retailer does not currently carry Feel Good Foods, you can help us by filling out our Retailer Request Form and bringing it to the retailer.
A location carries your products but not the one I am looking for. Why not?
All of the retail locations on our Where To Buy page are locations in which we are approved, but what a retailer carries is up to whoever makes their purchasing decisions. Since we are approved, however, it would be easy for that store to order other products from our line, which they might do if there is enough interest. See our Retailer Request Form .
What do I do if I have a question or complaint about a particular product I purchased?
Save the box – it contains information that we might be able to use to help answer your question, or to look into a complaint. Always feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have.
